About the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival The Season

Planned Giving

As congenial patrons of the arts we find that many of our life interests intersect.

And as a community comprised of individuals from widely varied backgrounds and geography, we successfully and enthusiastically overcome arbitrary boundaries of time and place to share exquisite moments when chamber music brings us together.

Through your gifts to the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival you can assure the continuation of the music-making times we treasure.

“Music is that which can not be said,
but upon which it is impossible to be silent.”

Victor Hugo

In the spirit of Mr. Hugo we ask you to make a generous contribution to the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival. Every gift is a connection among us, sustains the music and the artistry, and stands as a not-so-silent exclamation of shared intentions.

Planned Gift

You may be considering a planned gift such as a bequest, appreciated property or securities, life insurance or charitable trust. Your commitment now will ensure a healthy future for the Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival.
Guidance from your tax advisor will describe the specific actions necessary. We are ready to discuss with you the impact of your life-gift.

Endowment

The Orcas Island Chamber Music Festival Endowment Fund was established with a cornerstone gift from the estate of Rosalie Chantiny, matched by a gift from the Valerie and William Anders Foundation. In early 2008 a significant contribution from Phyllis and Robert Henigson brought the OICMF Endowment Fund to our first goal level of $250,000+. The Endowment Fund forms the base of stability for OICMF’s long-term financial healthy. Your gifts are gifts in perpetuity.

Louisa Lundgren

New Works/
New Artists
Without a doubt one of the most exhilarating and inspirational arenas of philanthropy, the commissioning of new works and encouragement of young artists offers donors a rare connection to history-in-the-making. The breadth of Ms. Friedmann’s professional and personal network among her peers creates an incredible base of potential for New Works/New Artists sponsorships.
