Season Program

Artistic Director, Aloysia Friedmann, brings the Miró Quartet to the 2008 OICMF Festival as "String Quartet-in-Residence." Described by the Seattle P-I as "superb in every way," the quartet members will perform, participate in the Festival's Music Lovers' Seminars, and meet audience members during post-concert receptions. And the tradition holds as each season Ms. Friedmann introduces a new instrument to Festival's annual programming mix. From bandoneon to alphorn, from trumpet to organ, our audiences enjoy the diversity of sound. 2008 will bring us the versatile and elegant harpist, Heidi Lehwalder.

Brilliant Festival Firsts! Pianist Anna Polonsky debuts in a Bach Concerto, violinist Chee-Yun performs the dazzling Franck Sonata, Heidi Lehwalder and Karla Flygare join violist Aloysia Friedmann in the poetic Debussy Trio, and Frank Kowalsky plays Brahms’ last masterpiece, the Clarinet Quintet.
